Meet the Director of Mid City

Katelin Darby

Hey there! I'm Katelin, and I’m the proud Director of Fontainebleau Children's Academy at the Baton Rouge Mid City location. With 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education under my belt, I am passionate about nurturing young minds and making sure every child feels valued. I’m also a mom to five amazing kiddos (including two bonus children!), ranging from ages 2 to 18. So, I definitely know a thing or two about multitasking and keeping up with a busy household!

As a former EMT, safety is a top priority for me, and I carry that commitment with me every day in my work. I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA), Ancillary Certificate, and am CPR/First Aid certified. Plus, I keep learning by taking annual courses on everything from health and safety to classroom management, all to ensure the children in my care thrive not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. Before stepping into the Director role, I was lucky enough to teach children from infants all the way through Pre-K.

At the end of the day, my greatest joy comes from watching children grow and learn, and I am so lucky to be a part of their journey!
