Meet the Directors of Baton Rouge

Yulonda

Center Director of FCA Baton Rouge

Hi! I’m Yulonda Hatch, an experienced early childhood professional, childcare consultant, trainer, and community advocate with over 17 years of experience in the childcare and early education field. I hold my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and am a certified Louisiana Pathways Independent Trainer. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid for infants, children, and adults, ensuring the safety and well-being of every child and family I serve.

Throughout my career, I have dedicated my work to supporting children, families, educators, and childcare programs through quality care, leadership, mentorship, and professional development. My experience includes childcare management, staff development, classroom support, family engagement, operational leadership, and helping programs maintain high standards of excellence in early learning.

I am passionate about community outreach and building meaningful connections that positively impact children and families. I believe strong communities begin with strong support systems, quality early education, and accessible resources for families and educators. My mission is to not only nurture children but also uplift the childcare profession through advocacy, education, mentorship, and service.

I reside in Baton Rouge, La  and am happily married with three children. In my spare time, I enjoy being a proud boy mom, gymnastics mom, and devoted wife. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and it continues to inspire my passion for caring for and supporting children and families every day.

I believe childcare is more than a profession — it is a purpose. Every child deserves a safe, loving, nurturing, and enriching environment where they are encouraged to grow, learn, and thrive. I remain committed to creating positive experiences for children, supporting families, empowering educators, and making a lasting difference in the lives of those I serve.
